UCLA Opens Broad Art Center

Billed as “Los Angeles’s newest cultural destination,” the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Center opened yesterday to much fanfare at the Westwood campus of the University of California at Los Angeles, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad gave $23.2-million toward the $52-million project. The restored and renovated building will be used primarily by faculty members and students in the School of the Arts and Architecture.
