United Kingdom to Donate $40-Million to Unicef

The United Kingdom will give nearly $40-million to Unicef to support education in countries affected by natural disasters, war, or other emergencies, reports the BBC.
Chancellor Gordon Brown will make the announcement at a meeting to discuss the promises made by leaders of the world’s eight richest countries at the 2005 G8 summit, including a pledge to increase international aid and provide access to HIV medicine for everyone in Africa.
