Verified Voting, a Nonpartisan Electoral-Security Group, Names New CEO

In September, Sangita Sigdyal will become president and CEO of this nonpartisan group that advocates for the responsible use of technology in elections. She is currently executive vice president for strategic partnerships and operations at FairVote.

Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation

Scott Siegel, vice president and chief business officer at the life-sciences nonprofit group ATCC, has been hired as its next executive director.

He succeeds Mark Cardillo, who had led the $103 million grant maker since 2003.

Nonprofit Finance Fund

Antony Bugg-Levine will step down after almost 10 years as its CEO on August 15.

Three of its executives will co-lead the fund on an interim basis until a permanent successor has been hired. They are Andrea Briscoe, chief human-resources officer for talent and organizational effectiveness; Kristin Giantris, vice president of strategic innovation; and Trella Walker, vice president and chief strategy officer.

Hillary Strong has been tapped as the media group’s chief development officer. She most recently held the same position at New York Public Radio.

More New CEOs

Stuart Allen, chief development officer, and Kenyatta Brunson, chief program officer, will serve as interim co-CEOs of N Street Village. They succeed Schroeder Stribling, who is leaving after 18 years to become president and CEO of Mental Health America.

Rey Diaz, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Orphan Outreach, will become its president and CEO on January 1. He will succeed Mike Douris, who led the organization since its founding in 2007 and will become president emeritus.

Angela Lemond Flowers, director of alumni leadership and engagement at Teach for America, is now executive director at Writers in the Schools.

Jose Lopez, Arlenis Morel, and Theo Oshiro have been promoted to serve as co-executive directors of Make the Road New York, a group that supports community organizers advocating on behalf of immigrants and low-income communities. Lopez was most recently deputy director and co-director of organizing. Morel has served as its chief of staff since 2015. Oshiro has worked there since 2005, most recently as director of health and workforce development.

Other Notable Appointments

Scott Biedermann, senior associate vice president of development at the University of the Pacific, has been promoted to vice president of development and alumni relations, effective July 1. He will succeed Burnie Atterbury, who is departing after nine years.

Lisa Dix, senior campaign manager for the Beyond Coal campaign in New York State at the Sierra Club, has been appointed the New York director of the Building Decarbonization Coalition.

Alejandra Garduño Martínez has been promoted from program officer to director of Latin America and Caribbean programs at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

Kate Hayward, regional-philanthropy and major-gifts officer at the American Red Cross in Indianapolis, will now join Christel House International as major-gifts officer.

Kalpana Kochhar, director of the human-resources department at the International Monetary Fund, will become director of development policy and finance at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation this summer. She has worked at the International Monetary Fund for 33 years, and her last day is July 30.

Claudia Keenan has joined Bennington College as senior vice president for advancement and communications. Most recently she was senior vice president for institutional advancement and executive director at Mercy Health Foundation.

Daniel Marun has been promoted to chief operating officer at DKT International. He has been the reproductive-health charity’s country director for Brazil and South America since 2007.

Jesselyn McCurdy is now managing director of government affairs at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the Leadership Conference Education Fund. Previously she was deputy political director at the National Political Advocacy Department of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Randy Brewer, founder of the direct-marketing agency and fundraising consulting firm Brewer Direct, died on May 28.
