VISIONS Worldwide

Purpose: Co-founded in 1995 by Vivek Murthy, VISIONS sends American students to India to train students, nurses, and others to run AIDS-prevention efforts designed to continue long after the students leave.

Finances: The group brought in $70,000 last year, mostly from private foundations and individual donors. This year, it estimates that it will receive $140,000.
