Washington Human-Services Group Plans Substantial Layoffs

CDM Services, a Vancouver, Wash., group that provides in-home care to disabled and elderly people, plans to lay off 100 of its 200 employees beginning on Nov. 1, writes The Columbian. Officials at the nonprofit said the move is the result of cuts planned by Washington State’s health and human services agency.
