Welcome to Give and Take

February 23, 2007 | Read Time: 1 minute

The growing number of Web logs that focus on the nonprofit world often makes it difficult to keep up with the items of greatest interest.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy‘s Give and Take column seeks to highlight the most notable and provocative online postings — and keep you up to date on the most important and intriguing observations about the nonprofit world.

In a way, you can consider us your nonprofit-blog butler — offering you a complete menu of blogs about philanthropy while also recommending posts and comments that deserve your attention.

The right column on your Web browser includes a list of notable blogs about the nonprofit world. Some talk about issues facing charities and foundations, others focus on how to become a better fund raiser or manager, while others focus on specific topics such as technology.

We will add to our list in the coming days, weeks, and months — and we welcome you to submit your suggestions for blogs we should consider listing.

If you know of an interesting blog about the nonprofit world that is not included in our blog roll, please send us a message.

You are also welcome to contact us if you have come across a particularly insightful post by a blogger who is already listed on this site or if you have a comment on anything you have read in Give and Take.

You can reach us at giveandtake@philanthropy.com.

But we hope you will post most of your comments directly on this site, in the space we make available after each posting. That way you can share your ideas with our thousands of readers at nonprofit organizations around the country and around the world.
