Operating Grants for Nonprofit Organizations

This books lists more than 1,000 programs that provide grants for staff salaries, rent and utilities, and other expenses tied to the daily operations of non-profit groups.

Grants makers are listed by state. Each entry includes contact information, requirements for eligibility, giving restrictions, fields of interest, and, in most cases, a sampling of recent grants.

The guide contains information on foundations, corporations, and government agencies that is current as of February 2000.

Indexes group grant makers by location and by fields of interest, such as education and performing arts.
