Brain Research Foundation (Chicago): Appointed Joseph L. Flint, development manager at the Dermatology Foundation (Evanston, Ill.), to be director of development.
Care Ring (Charlotte, N.C.): Appointed Susan Furtney, career-development-services director at Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont (Charlotte), to be executive director. Care Ring was formerly Community Health Services.
Computers for Youth-Los Angeles: Appointed Michelle Hahn, executive director of Students Run LA (Los Angeles), to be executive director.
Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (Washington): Appointed Colleen Zakrewsky, vice president of individual gifts at the American Red Cross (Washington), to be vice president of development and marketing.
Global FoodBanking Network (Chicago): Announced the death of Bob Forney, founder and president, on August 29. He was 69. (See article.) Chris Rebstock, vice president and chief operating officer, will serve as interim president.
Global Kids (New York): Appointed Evie Hantzopoulos, deputy director and director of programs, to be executive director. She succeeds Carole Artigiani, founder, who will become a senior adviser to the organization. Global Kids offers leadership and volunteering programs for children.
Greensboro College (North Carolina): Appointed Carolyn Kozuch DeFrancesco, former director of leadership giving, to be executive director for institutional advancement.
Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights (Chicago): Appointed David Grazman, a senior director at the Advisory Board Company, in Chicago, to be executive director of Heartland Health Outreach.
Hudson Valley Community College Foundation (Troy, N.Y.): Appointed Rachel Matzkin Kimmelblatt, director of major gifts at the U. of Connecticut Foundation (Storrs), to be chief development officer.
