March 29, 2006
Yale University is withdrawing its $500-million investment from the Children’s Investment Fund Management, a British hedge fund, reports The Wall Street Journal.
Officials at the university said they made the decision because they felt they had too much money in the fund. Yale’s endowment is now worth more than $15-billion.
Yale helped found the hedge fund with a $200-million dollar investment.
