Opinion: Help for the Nonprofit World Would Lead to ‘Double’ Payoff

America’s new president and Congress should team up with the charitable world to invest in the country’s “most effective and efficient” nonprofit organizations, an effort that would have a “double” payoff, argue two Boston-area charity chief executives in a column in The Boston Globe.
Shoring up the struggling nonprofit world would not only retain jobs in that industry but also give it the resources needed to help others across the country, say Paul S. Grogan, chief executive officer of the Boston Foundation, and Eric Schwarz, chief executive of Citizen Schools.
