The efforts of Al Piña, chairman of the Florida Minority Community Reinvestment Coalition, to distribute grant money to minority-led organizations is the “latest trend in racial extortion,” according to an editorial in The Wall Street Journal.
In response to Mr. Piña’s efforts to enlist the support of the U.S. Congress to insert new requirements in federal law, the editorial makes a sharp call to action: “It’s about time that leaders of the foundation world — those who care about results more than politics — stand up and call this the race-baiting money grab it is.”
