American Red Cross, Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter (Pittsburgh): Appointed Patricia M. Waldinger, chief administrative officer and senior vice president for the Global Institutional Clients Department at Mellon Financial Corporation (Pittsburgh), to be chief executive officer.

Benedictine Life Foundation (Madison, Wis.): Appointed Carolyn McGinley, executive assistant and Web manager, to be development manager. This group provides financial support for the Benedictine Women of Madison, an order of nuns.

Center for Nonprofit Advancement (Washington): Appointed Glen O’Gilvie, president and chief executive officer of Earth Conservation Corps (Washington), to be chief executive officer. He succeeds Betsy Johnson, who has retired.

Christian Children’s Fund (Richmond, Va.): Appointed Cynthia Price, public-affairs manager at the Richmond Police Department, to be director of communications.

Citizens Budget Commission (New York): Appointed Carol Kellermann, interim executive director at the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers (New York) and former executive director of the September 11th Fund (New York) to be president. This group works to improve government finances and services in New York.

Clean Air Campaign (Atlanta): Appointed Susan Bacon, a high-school science teacher at the Performance Learning Center (Winder, Ga.), to be director of education, and Brian Carr, senior writer at Primerica Financial Services (Duluth, Ga.), to be communications director.

Columbia U. (New York): Appointed Robert M. DeMicco Jr., director of development at Fordham College at Lincoln Center (New York), to be development and campaign director for the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse.

Coro New York Leadership Center: Appointed Scott Millstein, interim chief executive officer and former chief operating officer at Safe Horizon (New York), to be executive director, effective August 15. He will succeed Michael Hirschhorn, who plans to become a nonprofit consultant.

DrawBridge (San Rafael, Calif.): Appointed Pamela Morton, program director at the Marin Arts Council (San Rafael), to be executive director. DrawBridge offers art programs for homeless children.

Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (Washington): Appointed Carlos Carrazana, vice president of health services and private-sector alliances for the international division at Abt Associates (Cambridge, Mass.), to be chief operating officer.

Lehigh U. (Bethlehem, Pa.): Appointed Duffy Ross, executive director of development communications at Saint Joseph’s U. (Philadelphia), to be assistant vice president for advancement communications, and Christine D. Smith, chief advancement officer at the Carnegie Institution for Science (Washington), to be associate vice president for advancement.

Mid-America Arts Alliance (Kansas City, Mo.): Appointed Don Adams, director of the arts and humanities department at the U. of California Extension at Santa Cruz, to be director of performing arts.

New York State 4-H Foundation (Ithaca): Appointed Linda L. Henley, a fund-raising and grant-writing consultant in Syracuse, N.Y., to be executive director.

Ox-Bow (Chicago): Appointed Paula McNicholas, vice president of administration and special campaigns at the Girl Scouts of the USA (New York), to be director of development. Ox-Bow is a school for artists.

Seattle Art Museum: Announced the retirement of Mimi Gates, director, effective July 1, 2009.

Seedco Financial Services (New York): Announced the retirement of William J. Grinker, president and chairman of the Board of Directors. This nonprofit organization offers lending programs and provides financial support to charities for community groups.
