In this video interview from our September Philanthropy NEXT conference, Jeriah Ebling, a senior account manager at the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County who oversees the women engagement program, discusses how the organization chose to take on the issue of teen pregnancy.

“It was particularly relevant because we know that women are really engaged and supportive of issues that are around women’s empowerment, girls’ empowerment, family financial stability, and education,” Ebling said.

The organization gathered community, faith, and business leaders as well as nonprofits to work on the issue. Through focus groups with students and young people in the community, the organization produced an attention-grabbing ad campaign aimed at teens.
