Network for Good Releases Free Giving Tuesday Tools

September 24, 2015 | Read Time: 1 minute

Online-giving platform Network for Good launched its 2015 Giving Tuesday campaign this week. It features free tools and webinars as well as training and donor incentives to support charities’ year-end fundraising.

Started in 2012, Giving Tuesday serves as a charitable counterpoint to the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Nonprofits of all stripes use the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving — this year, December 1 — to encourage online giving and raise awareness for their causes.

The free resources from Network for Good include guides like “Top Essentials for a Winning #GivingTuesday,” and webinars such as “Nonprofit 911: Rock Your #GivingTuesday Campaign With Facebook Ads.” Exclusive content and one-on-one coaching is available for charities that raise money through Network for Good.

During Giving Tuesday last year, 5,628 nonprofits used Network for Good’s online gift-processing platform to raise a total of more than $4.5 million in donations, according to the online giving platform. So far, Network for Good has committed $100,000 in matching dollars for charities that raise money using its site on Giving Tuesday.

The founding partners of Giving Tuesday, including New York’s 92nd Street Y, also offer free online resources for nonprofits, including case studies and fundraising ideas.
