Video: For Donors of All Kinds, It’s the Mission That Counts

In this video interview from our September Philanthropy NEXT conference, Jaye Lopez Van Soest, director of development at the American Foundation for the Blind, discusses how she connects with donors who have different backgrounds but the same connection to the organization: It’s all about the mission, she says. The same was true at her former workplace, a public-interest law school. Through the years, the school’s name and the students changed, but the mission was always the same, and that’s what donors cared about.
