People Give to People: Building a Highly Successful Development Program, is a set of three DVD’s that offer advice on fund raising. Four board leaders from a variety of charity backgrounds, including the arts, social services, and public broadcasting, describe their experiences in development and in running capital campaigns. The first DVD of the series, Are We Ready?, provides an introduction to fund raising. The second is a shortened version of Are We Ready?, suitable for presenting to the full board of directors. The final one, 13 Essentials for a Healthy Development Program, delves deeper into issues of donor recognition, leadership, strategic planning, and other aspects of managing a fund-raising department.
